Easter 2027 is March 28, right after Broward spring break March 22-26. Fort Lauderdale egg hunts, brunch and church services as each one is announced.

Last checked Oct. 8, 2026. This page is updated each year at the same address. 2027 Easter events are not announced yet; where we give a 2026 date we say so, and we never guess the new one. City questions, any hour: Neighbor Support Center, 954-828-8000.

Easter Sunday is March 28, 2027, and it comes at the end of spring break: Broward County Public Schools are out March 22-26, so Good Friday, March 26, is the last day of the break. Egg hunts, Easter brunches and church service times are usually published in February and March, and we add each one here as it appears on the organizer’s own page.

What this means for you

  • Schools: spring break March 22-26; no school Friday, March 19, either.
  • Libraries: closed Easter Sunday, except the NSU Alvin Sherman Library.
  • Trash: the city collects on every holiday except Christmas Day.
  • Brunch: our brunch guide lists places that serve on Sundays all year.

Egg hunts

We have not yet confirmed a 2027 Easter egg hunt in Fort Lauderdale from an organizer’s own page. City parks, churches and community groups usually announce theirs in March. Each one goes here with the date, time, age groups and address once it is published, starting with the City of Fort Lauderdale’s event calendar.

Holding a hunt? Send the date, ages and address through our contact page.

Brunch

Easter brunch menus are posted by restaurants in March. We list only what a restaurant announces on its own website, and will add them here. Until then, our brunch guide has Fort Lauderdale restaurants that serve brunch every weekend, from their own menus.

The MKT at The LOOP, the Sunday market at Las Olas Oceanside Park, 3000 E. Las Olas Blvd., runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with made-to-order food, produce and handmade goods by the ocean. See the beach business district’s events calendar.

Church services

Churches post their Holy Week and Easter Sunday service times in March. We will list Fort Lauderdale churches’ Good Friday, Easter Vigil and Easter morning services here, with times taken from each church’s own website. Churches can send their schedule through our contact page.

Easter weekend outings

  • Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, 900 N. Birch Road, is open Tuesday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and lists its closures as Mondays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. See hours and admission.
  • Stranahan House, 335 SE 6th Ave., runs docent tours five to six days a week; book ahead on the museum’s site.
  • The beach: check Fort Lauderdale Ocean Rescue’s beach conditions before you swim.
