JetBlue now flies daily from Fort Lauderdale to Cali, Colombia, and its new BlueFirst first class debuts on a Boston-Fort Lauderdale flight Dec. 8. Routes, times, fares.

JetBlue started daily nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Cali, Colombia, on Thursday. It is the airline’s fourth city in Colombia, after Cartagena, Medellín and Barranquilla.

The same day, JetBlue put its new first-class cabin, BlueFirst, on sale. The first BlueFirst flight leaves Boston for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Both announcements came from JetBlue’s own newsroom: the Cali launch release and the BlueFirst on-sale release.

The Cali flights

The route serves Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport, which JetBlue codes CLO. It runs every day on an Airbus A320, with Main and EvenMore seats only.

Flight Leaves Arrives
1535, Fort Lauderdale to Cali 10:05 a.m. 12:52 p.m.
1540, Cali to Fort Lauderdale 2:10 p.m. 7 p.m.

Times are local, and JetBlue said the schedule may vary.

The launch fares start at $139 one way in Main and $239 in EvenMore. The fine print is tight:

  • book by Friday, Oct. 16, on jetblue.com
  • travel Jan. 19 to March 9, 2027
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays only

JetBlue started its Fort Lauderdale-Barranquilla route on Oct. 1. That one is also daily, at 11:05 a.m. from Fort Lauderdale, according to the airline’s Barranquilla release.

“This new service gives customers more options to travel between Colombia and South Florida, and connect beyond Fort Lauderdale,” said Daniel Shurz, JetBlue’s senior vice president for revenue, network and enterprise planning.

First class starts here

JetBlue said Fort Lauderdale was its first destination when it began flying, and it will be BlueFirst’s first destination too. Flights between Fort Lauderdale and LaGuardia Airport in New York follow within days of the Dec. 8 launch.

The airline listed more than 30 routes for the first wave. Nineteen of them touch Fort Lauderdale.

Columbus, Ohio; Indianapolis; and San Diego follow in November. JetBlue expects more than 150 daily departures from Fort Lauderdale at peak times this winter, its largest schedule there.

What it means for you

  • A daily nonstop to Cali. Cali is new to JetBlue’s network, and the airline is selling connections to it through Fort Lauderdale.
  • The sale fares end Friday. Both the Cali and BlueFirst introductory prices must be booked by Oct. 16.
  • First class from December. BlueFirst starts Dec. 8 on Boston flights and spreads to 19 Fort Lauderdale routes by March. Check the seat map: not every flight will have it.
  • Schedules can change. JetBlue said aircraft assignments and times are subject to change.
